DDC Announces Dance Team Auditions for Wednesday January 14!

5703491413_a67398975c_z

DDC is very excited to announce the creation of our brand new dance team, Shake It Break It! This team’s focus is squarely on having fun as a group while learning and improving through both solo and partner routines. It has been labeled as a Dance Team, opposed to a Performance Team, as it’s primary focus will not be on learning routines in order to perform them, and it’s members will NOT be required to be able to perform airsteps. Instead the team will require members to attend 3-4 social dance opportunities a month (in what ever form) and come on time to the 30 min social and warm up at the beginning of each practice.

The first round of routines have already been set with teacher’s Eric Massey and Leah Jo teaching the routine Shake it Break it (as choreographed by Leah Jo), and Arta Seify teaching the solo routine Doin’ the Jive (as choreographed by Kelly Porter, Joshua Welter and Michael Faltesek).

Keep your ear to the ground for more details and mark you calendars! If you’re hungry to learn this is for you! We want to see you at this audition night! Remember, auditions are just as much of an opportunity for you to see if this is right for you too!
